If you have suffered an accidental injury or an occupational disease in the workplace, regardless of who is at fault, you are likely to be covered by the Worker's Compensation Laws of Tennessee. These laws apply to most employers who regularly employ five or more employees. The first thing you should do after suffering an on the job injury is to file a written notice of injury with your employer and keep a copy for yourself. This should be done as soon as possible after the injury and certainly no later than thirty days after the injury. If you suffer an on the job injury and you fall under the Worker's Compensation system, you are entitled to medical payments, temporary disability benefits while you cannot work, and permanent disability benefits if you suffer a permanent injury. REMEMBER: The statute of limitations in Tennessee for worker's compensation is one year from the date of the on the job injury or one year from the date of the last voluntary payment made by the employer or its insurer. Keep in mind that there may be different limitations rules for gradually occurring diseases or injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Fees
Typically cases involving Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice,
